Description From 2001-08-21 10:39:41 CET
Vincent Bumgarner reports:

I try every once in a while to get 2.2 to install, but I've yet to get
it work. The errors all seem to be related to tar. I seem to have the
newest version of tar.

On a RedHat 7.1 box...

Do we have any RH 7.1 boxes at RIS?
------- Comment #2 From 2001-08-27 14:32:15 CET -------
I've tried 2.2 on our Redhat 7.1 machine called shiva.roxen.com and
it seems to work fine:

  $ cat /etc/issue
  Red Hat Linux release 7.1 (Seawolf)
  Kernel 2.4.5 on a 2-processor i686
  $ tar --version
  tar (GNU tar) 1.13.19

Can you provide more information about your machine?

Are you sure you have downloaded a complete binary?
